Where to Get Help

This website is intended for visitors from Great Britain. If you are outside of Great Britain, contact the appropriate emergency services in your current location. Visitors from Northern Ireland can use NIDirect for additional details. See further information here https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/information-and-services/health-and-wellbeing/health-servicesย

If your condition (or the condition of someone else) is an emergency, you must dial 999 on the nearest working telephone immediately.

If your condition is urgent, but not life-threatening, telephone 111 immediately to seek advice from the NHS 111 service. Explain your concerns clearly and follow the advice given.

If your condition is not urgent, but cannot be assessed with our remote service, please call your GP at the earliest opportunity. If you do not have a GP or your GP is not able to offer an appointment, call NHS 111 by dialling 111 on your telephone and follow the advice given by the NHS 111 service.
